Les Collons faces South East and is built on 3 parallel terraces of pine and larch forests at elevations of 1800m, 1850m and 1900m in the Valais region of Switzerland. Below Les Collons is Les Masses at 1500m with a chairlift into the resort, and above is Thyon, a purpose built resort at 2000m.

This chalet situation is ideal for access to local bars and restaurants; the bakery is 50 metres away, the supermarket 150 metres and most importantly for winter guests, the Trabanta chairlift is only 150 metres from the chalet. There is a footpath behind the chalet allowing pedestrians to reach the facilities at 1850m in about 5 minutes, including ski school, the Joc teleski and La Luge, the village's fantastic pizza restaurant.
Also at 1850m there is a pine forest through which visitors can reach the Alpage, the large alpine meadow awash with wild flowers in the summer, and part of the gentle skiing area of Les Collons
and Thyon in the winter.
The village also has a bars, restaurants, post office, sports shops and bank. Larger supermarkets and more restaurants are located in Sion.
